Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Big Screen File Viewer helps you browse files on your TV after you authorize access through a secure browser flow. This policy explains what information is used by the app and its pairing service.
Dropbox Authorization
The app does not ask you to enter your account password on your TV. To connect your account, the app shows a QR code or browser authorization link. Authorization happens in the browser, then the app receives permission based on your approval.
Information We Use
After you authorize Dropbox access, the app and pairing service use Dropbox account identifiers and authentication tokens to keep your TV signed in and to request the files you choose to browse or open.
- Dropbox account identifiers are used for app functionality.
- Authentication tokens are used to connect to Dropbox and refresh access.
- Basic session activity, such as when a service session is used, may be stored to keep the service reliable and secure.
Dropbox Files
The app requests Dropbox file and folder information only after you authorize access. File names, folders, previews, photos, videos, audio, and documents are retrieved from Dropbox so they can be shown on your TV. The pairing service is not designed to sell, publish, or permanently store your Dropbox files.
Token Storage
Dropbox refresh tokens are stored encrypted by the pairing service so the TV app can stay connected. You can revoke access by signing out of the app or by managing connected apps in your Dropbox account settings.
Tracking and Advertising
Big Screen File Viewer does not sell personal information. It does not use Dropbox identifiers or product interaction data for third-party advertising or tracking.
Third-Party Services
The app relies on the connected storage provider to provide file access and authorization. Your provider's use is governed by its own privacy policy and account settings.
Data Retention
Session records and encrypted tokens are kept as needed to provide the app's sign-in and browsing functionality. Signing out or revoking Dropbox access disables the app's ability to continue using your connected account.
